This has been an incredible season of life-change in our Church as people continue to find and follow Jesus Christ. God has been faithful to do exactly what He said He would do, to strengthen us in Him so that He might send us out for His purposes. As you look through the pages of this discipleship guide, be encouraged and celebrate all that God has done in us, through us and to us.
As we approach the midpoint of the STRONGER two-year discipleship journey, be challenged by all that God continues to call us to; put your yes on the table and take a step of obedience; for you have no idea what hangs in the balance. The gospel message is urgent, and we do not take it lightly. There are people all around us, every single day, who have yet to hear the gospel and receive Jesus Christ. Yet, God continues to open doors for us to reach more people for Christ as a Church.
Over the next year, we will continue to focus ourselves on Colossians 2:6-7:
Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.
We receive the gospel as a free gift of grace, and we continue to walk in the gospel as a free gift of His grace. God isn’t calling you to walk in dead religion, but a life-giving relationship with His Son, Jesus Christ. As you put your roots deep into Him, and build your life on the solid rock of His word, your faith will become stronger and your life will go deeper into Jesus than ever before.
Whether you are new to this journey, staying faithful through it, or increasing the commitment of generosity the Lord has called you to, leverage everything God has given you for His glory and invest in the eternal. Thank you for being on mission with us. I love you like crazy and want so much for you on this journey.
